Honors for Outstanding Service and Dedication - UW-La Crosse Community
Awarded for my three years in student government, serving as a liaison between administration and students. Among my accomplishments during this time were successfully leading students in multiple educational and advocacy campaigns. These campaigns ranged from a $55 million student center, diversity, voter I.D. and registration information, to dining services.
National Residence Hall Honorary "Freshmen of the Year" Award
Nominated by my peers and supervisors and, selected by a board of top-student-leaders. I received this award for ambitiously entering student government within the first weeks of my college career and for swiftly garnering respect among my fellow representatives in the Residence Hall Association Council. I also received this award for my willingness to be involved in local government and desire to better the La Crosse community, including running for a county board supervisor seat.
Honors of Service and Leadership - Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools
This award was presented to me for representing the students of the Wisconsin Rapids Public School District as the 2008-2009 Student Representative to the School Board. Actively participating as an advisory member to the school board, delivering reports on student activities and implications from a student perspective on upcoming board decisions.
Wisconsin State Senate Scholar - Wisconsin State Senate
A citation issued by the Wisconsin State Senate for being selected from a highly qualified group of applicants from across the state to be one of ten students to learn about state government, lobbying, political journalism, and participate in mock legislative committees, debates, and public hearings.
